INFLIGHT Review Meeting 2019: “On an excellent way to success”

The annual review meeting with all project partners and the Project Management Agency for Aeronautics Research and Technology was successfully conducted.

End of April the 2019 review meeting of the INFLIGHT Project was successfully completed at the IBK headquater in Hamburg.

The project is well on track with all deliverables and milestones accomplished as planned.

Main activities encompass the successful completion of the flight identification campaign, the pendulum experiment, and the creation of the aeroelastic model. Other tasks, which have just started, e.g. setting up the model predictive controller, actuator integration and LiDAR implementation, have good progress and first results will be delivered soon.

The early flight identification campaign for the aerodynamical parameters as well the pendulum experiment for the identification of the mass moment of inertia properties combined with a detailed model creation process led to a well-grounded and validated model representation of the Remos GX aircraft, which is mandatory for a successful model predictive controller.

The project’s progress and the successfully accomplished contents of the work packages confirm, that the project is “on an excellent way to success”.
